...that I wrote Brother had left his apartment in anticipation of Hurricane Katrina? Now here's Gustav.
Watching the news today, I have to believe someone has written already about the language TV weatherpeople use to describe and discuss "EXTREME weather." I can't be the only one who has noticed that hurricanes and tropical storms aren't like regular weather anymore; they have intention.
One newsperson called Gustav a "killer storm" that has New Orleans in its "bullet sights." It's "deadly" and is "targeting" the Gulf Coast. I saw a tiny piece of an address the Mayor of New Orleans made in which...well, if I were in New Orleans or Mississippi and had heard what he said, I would have evacuated in every sense of the word.
