I'm not usually a nighttime moviegoer, preferring matinee prices, but TZM prefers movie watching at night and convinced me the price difference wasn't THAT different to matter.
Waiting in line to buy the tickets I was comparing the matinee v. night prices when my eye strayed to the "senior" column. "Hey, that's YOU! You qualify for that!" I said to TZM. I asked if he had his ID. "Oh, I don't think they'll bat an eye," he said. I had my doubts the ticket seller wouldn't want proof of his age.
For the first--but definitely not the last--time in my life I told the lady in the ticket booth, "One adult and one senior." Cha-ching! Almost the same price as two adult matinee tickets!
I didn't realize on our wedding day that a whole world of senior discounts has now opened up to me via TZM. It's all senior discount day shopping, early bird dinners, and 55+ communities for me now!
